Foundation & Vision

The dream of a new parish under the loving patronage of Our Lady of Fatima was first kindled in the hearts of the faithful through the vision of Rev. Fr. Antony Arackal. Guided by his deep pastoral zeal and unwavering faith, the foundation for this sacred home began to take form not merely in stone and mortar, but in prayer, unity, and shared purpose.
Under his spiritual direction, the faithful came together as one family parishioners, benefactors, and well-wishers each offering their time, talent, and treasure toward a divine mission that transcended individual effort.
In this blessed endeavor, Rev. Fr. Joshy Muttickal offered steadfast guidance and wholehearted support, bringing structure, coordination, and strength to the unfolding vision.
Their combined faith, perseverance, and leadership breathed life into what would soon rise as Fatima Matha Church, Mapranam a radiant beacon of devotion, community, and hope, standing as a living testament to God’s providence and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother.

Inauguration and Blessing

After months of prayer, planning, and wholehearted labor, the long-cherished dream of the faithful blossomed into reality. What had once been a vision in prayer circles and parish meetings finally took its place beneath the open sky a church built not only by hands, but by hearts united in faith.
On 30 March 2025, the new Fatima Matha Church, Mapranam was solemnly inaugurated and blessed by His Excellency Mar Ambrose Puthenveetil. Bells rang, hymns rose, and the fragrance of incense filled the air as heaven seemed to lean close in blessing.
That sacred day marked far more than the completion of a structure; it was the birth of a spiritual home. Within those newly consecrated walls, prayers found a voice, gratitude found a gathering, and every soul discovered a place to rest in the gentle gaze of Our Blessed Mother.
What began as faith’s quiet whisper had become a radiant hymn a testament to divine grace, human perseverance, and the enduring power of unity.

A Living Parish of Faith

Rising in the serene heart of Mapranam, Fatima Matha Church stands today as a radiant symbol of divine providence and the enduring faith of a people who believed, prayed, and built together. What began as a whisper of devotion in the hearts of a few has grown into a thriving parish a living testimony that when faith takes root, grace will surely flourish.

From its earliest days, the church has been a gathering place for prayer and pilgrimage, for joy and consolation. Within its sacred walls, the faithful find strength in the Holy Mass, solace in the gentle cadence of the Rosary, and renewal through the Saturday Novena to Our Lady of Fatima. Each prayer offered, each candle lit, continues the legacy of countless souls whose devotion shaped the very spirit of this parish.

Beyond its liturgical life, Fatima Matha Church has become a beating heart of the community extending Christ’s compassion through outreach, education, and service. Its story is not only one of stones and sanctuaries, but of hearts united in the mission to live the Gospel through love in action.

Guided always by the tender intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and inspired by the vision of the priests and pioneers who first dreamed this sacred space into being, the parish continues to grow in faith, in fellowship, and in fidelity to God’s will. What began as a modest dream now stands as a beacon of hope, drawing all who enter toward peace and divine grace.

With profound gratitude to our founders, pastors, and parishioners those who have prayed, toiled, and given of themselves in every generation we look ahead with hearts uplifted, trusting that the same hand that guided our beginnings will bless our tomorrows.

“To Jesus through Mary may our church ever remain a home of peace, prayer, and love.”
